January Is The New December

Many businesses deferred traditional December celebrations until after the New Year.

The band was busy during the traditional November/December celebration season, with office and house parties as well as weddings. The big surprise came in January, when we traditionally expect time to “relax” after the year-end celebrations. But this year several companies hosted January parties for their employees, and both the trio and sextet were kept busy. The band finished up January with its 2nd appearance for a regional trade association’s annual meeting at the Metropolitan.

In talking to clients who have moved celebrations from December to January, all cite the less hectic time and the more relaxing atmosphere it creates. All said they were making a January event the norm.
