With over 500 arrangements, we can’t begin to list everything here. Just know that we span the generations and styles and will work with you to put together the right play list, and the right energy levels for your occasion. Our approach can vary depending upon the role you want us to take, from smooth background to high energy and featured entertainment, and everything in between.

This client wanted background music that started quietly and, over an hour’s time, increased in breadth and energy level to set the stage for the next segment of the evening. There are no recording studio do-overs, electronic enhancements, or click tracks to make the band sound different from what people heard that evening. This is the musicianship you can expect from a Metro Retro performance.

Metro Retro knows Blues, from the understated Blues in the Night and Temptation to Kelly’s Blues and Night Train to Kansas City

Modern Jazz

Maybe not danceable, but certainly joyful to listen to are tunes like Tones for Joan’s Bones, Birdland, Lazy Bird, and Red Clay

Pop/Funk

We play society arrangements (i.e., great beat; no earplugs necessary) of  funk and rock dance tunes like Watermelon Man, Upside Down, Mercy, Mercy, Mercy, Honeydipped, and Sidewinder.
